Photo Gallery
Submission Hints

• Each photo must be less than 100K in size.
• Any photo with a width or height of greater than 400 pixels will be resized to 400 pixels
• Each user account can upload a total of 1M of photos

This means that getting your files small will enable you to upload more photos. Unfortunately, the smaller the size of the file, the lower the quality, so you have to use your judgement. There are many tools that are available to assist you in resizing your photos. Two free programs that we've had good luck using are:

• High Quality Photo Resizer (fewer features, but easier to use)
• Fast Stone Photo Resizer 2.2 (more features - get Resizer 2.2, not Viewer 2.5)

Both of these programs allow you to resize files in batch mode (many files at one time) to whatever width or height you wish. They also allow you to set the quality level of the jpg file. Obviously, you want the highest level that keeps your files under 100K. The programs are easy to use, and allow you to store the resized files into a different folder. If you run the program and the file sizes are still too big, just rerun with a lower quality level until you get the sizes below 100K.

3. Fill out the registration form:
   You will need to provide:
   • Username
   • Password
   • Re-enter Password
   • Email address
4. Gallery indicates that your account is now active. Click Continue

1. Click here to go to the gallery
2. Click Login.
3. Enter Username and Password
4. Gallery shows a welcome screen. Click Continue.
5. Click 'Upload File'
6. Fill out Upload File form, click 'Upload file':
   • Album: Select an album for the photo to be added to.
   • File: Browse to the photo on your computer.
   • File Title: Title that will be displayed for the photo.
   • File Description: Description of the photo.
   • Keywords: This is optional. Enter keywords that describe the photo.
   • Date of Trip: If you know the date, enter it here.
   • River: Name of the river or activity shown in the photo.
7. Gallery confirms that file was uploaded successfully. Click 'Continue'
8. When the photo has been approved for display, it will be shown in the Gallery.
