What do I bring/wear for a raft trip???

Is it white tails for daytime wear, or... just kidding.
One of the most frequently asked questions asked of us is "What do I bring". We are fairly restrictive in terms of what we allow on our whitewater raft trips. We are concerned with the safety of all paddlers should a raft flip over in a rapid. Imagine 3 coolers, 2 dry bags, a fishing pole, 6 paddles, 6 paddlers and a guide - all falling out of the raft in the middle of a rapid. THAT is why we are so restrictive.

Alcohol is strictly prohibited on all raft trips.
Alcohol is extremely dangerous on a river. Save the alcohol for after the trip.

THINGS TO REMEMBER...

• Appropriate clothing for the weather
  Summer clothing: Cotton T-shirt *, Nylon shorts *
  Spring/Fall Clothing: Polypropylene/Silk, Fleece/Wool, Nylon/Gore-Tex
• Appropriate foot-wear* (buckles, straps, or laces are good; NO FLIP-FLOPS, CLOGS or CROCS !!)
• Sun block *
• Sunglasses *
• Sunglass or eyeglass straps *
• Payment for balance of bill:
  Cash, Traveler′s check, Personal check, VISA/MC/DISCOVER (main location only)
• NO COOLERS, DRY-BAGS or FISHING POLES!!!
• NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
• Water-proof camera *
• Medication

• The guide and the raft
• The river and the weather
• Paddles, PFDs (life jackets), and helmets
• Lunch on all-day raft trips
