Additional Activities for Groups

This page describes additional activities that are available for groups (15 or more people). They can be combined and added to any group itinerary.

Hamburger/Hot dog Cookout

We can cater a Hamburger/Hot dog cookout for your group on our property. Hamburgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill with all the fixings, french fries, soft drinks, and ice cream for dessert. There is plenty of run-around room, so feel free to bring Frisbees, softballs. Let us know if you have vegetarians in your group. We can accommodate them as well.

Combine your cook-out with Horseback Riding or the Climbing Wall. Many groups make an evening of it by offering an option of either going horseback riding or spending time on our climbing wall. Even better, not everyone has to agree on the same activity - the group can split between the two. Either activity can handle about 10-15 people at a time. Bill′s Horseback Riding Stables is just a mile down the road, and our Climbing Wall is right on site! Either activity takes about an hour.

Cookout Only: $10/person.
Cookout with climbing wall: $25/person
Cookout with horseback riding: $25/person
Minimum age for climbing wall: Must be able to fit in harness.
Minimum age for horseback riding: Parent(s) must be comfortable.

Tubing Trips

This tube trip is the perfect summer activity. The trip starts and ends at the Blue Heron Mine interpretive area. The 1 ½ - 2 hour trip covers about a mile of river and includes several Class I and one Class II rapid (Joe Shoals). Touring the Blue Heron Mine interpretive area before or after a leisurely tube trip makes for a very pleasant afternoon. We use only double chambered, vinyl tubes with handles. We now have double tubes available if you have younger children on your trip. Make sure that you let us know in advance!

Tube trip: $15/person.
Minimum age: 7 for single tube; 4 for a double tube (must be paired with an adult). Minimum weight: 25 lbs.
