Trips go out rain or shine! You are going to get wet anyway. And many guests find that the rain helps keep them cool during the summer as well making the trip a more enjoyable experience. What if there is lightning?
As you are paddling down in the river lightning isn't a big worry. Lightning tends to pass pretty quickly in the area, usually less than 15 minutes. On our guided trips, our guides are trained to know when they should pull off the river. On our unguided trips you can pull off the water for a few minutes and wait for the storm to pass. What should I wear?
This depends on the time of the year you are paddling. During the summer you should dress to be wet, not only will you get wet on your trip, but stopping for a swim is great way to cool off during the summer. Cotton t-shirts and swim shorts are a popular option during the summer. During cooler weather you should favor synthetic fabrics that will dry quickly. We also have wet suits and paddling jackets available for rent. What about shoes?
You don't want to watch as your shoes float downstream. so wear shoes that stay on your feet. All shoes should tie, strap, velco, or buckle. You want to avoid shoes like flip flops, crocs and clogs. LodgingWhat’s the cancellation policy?

Yes, we do have wifi available at most of the sites. We have several hotspots scattered throughout the property. The backwoods tents sites don't have wifi signal at site because of all the trees, but we have wifi at the main building as well as the RV bathhouse and places to sit and work at both. No, we don't have a front gate. Do you have a map where I can see where everything is located?? Of course! You can check out our Site Map to see where the bathrooms, campsites, snack bar and main building are all located. Zip LineIs there a weight limit?
Yes, for the Big Zipper line you have to be at least 65lbs and under 200lbs. For the Little Zipper line you have to be under 90lbs and at least 5 years old or 40 inches tall. What should I wear?
Closed toed shoes are the biggest thing that people miss. During the summer lots of people are running around in sandals, but for the zipline you need to have shoes that stay on your feet and cover your toes. You also want to avoid items of clothing that are flowy and could blow around a lot as you are zipping down the line. How long does it take?
The actual ride down the line doesn't take too long. But we recommend leaving about an hour in your schedule to get signed up, sign waivers, get harnessed up, zip across the line and get unharnessed at the end. |
