This school is designed to teach you the basics of raft guiding. The first half of the class consists of 3 full days of on-water and classroom work, designed to get you in the back of a boat as quickly as possible. The remaining 3 days are spent 'on the stick', that is, in the back of a boat, with customers. Topics covered include boat control, river reading skills, customer service/handling, basic river rescue techniques. LessΔ

Pricing:

• $350/person
• Note: Candidates for employment at Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort may take the guide training class at a reduced rate of $140/person. However, employment is not guaranteed and is dependent on the candidate's attitude and progress during the class.
